Childcare Apprentice – Level 3
About this opportunity
The Sunflower Children’s Centre in Stalybridge are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Level 3 Childcare Apprentice to join their friendly team who will offer you support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.
Candidates must hold a Level 2 Childcare Qualification and have a valid certificate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery
• Give support to other personnel within the nursery
• Help to implement daily routines
• Contribute to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff
• To assist in keeping records of achievement on file for parents
• Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
• Be flexible within the working practices of the nursery
• Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. cleansing of equipment etc.
• To ensure mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing
• Be aware of safeguarding at all times
