Safeguarding

The Growth Company aims to create and maintain a safe environment where all clients know they will be listened to if they have a safeguarding concern.
Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a term that covers many things - all concerned with making sure our clients feel safe, protected from harm and enjoy wellbeing.

An important part of our role is to build resilience in our clients both now and in the future so that they are able to deal with situations in life that put their well-being at risk.

You can be assured that our staff have been trained in recognising and responding to safeguarding issues. We recognise that talking to someone about a concern might not always be easy and we do our very best to make sure that our clients have the support that they need. We have specialist staff to support clients with safeguarding issues, but we also adhere to the view that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and we work very hard to ensure that we have an effective safeguarding culture. We work very closely with a range of external agencies to support our clients and particularly our more vulnerable clients and we provide high levels of support to all our clients.

We are committed to the Government's PREVENT strategy and underpin all our programmes with British Values. Staff are trained in awareness of the dangers of radicalisation and extremism and the signs to look for and who to go to for support.

Staff are carefully recruited, trained and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked.

Our safeguarding policy and procedures are reviewed annually in order to reflect new legislation and amendments to current legislation. We will ensure that we support our clients to enable them to make a successful transition into work or education.
