General Construction Operative Apprentice
About this opportunity
Established in 1955, T J Murphy Ltd are involved in road maintenance, construction, civil engineering and groundwork projects. As part of your apprenticeship you will attend college one day per week over two years and work towards your qualification.
Working on various jobs in the Greater Manchester region, you will be fully trained in the following areas:
Kerbing
Installing drainage
Paving
Concreting
General civil engineering works
Meeting on site or at an arranged pick up point you will be working with an experienced ground works team. The role involves a substantial amount of physical labour and working outdoors so applicants will need to be prepared for this. You will receive full training and work towards becoming a skilled tradesman.
T.J. Murphy Ltd has established a strong reputation in civil engineering and road construction, working predominately with local authorities. Since the 1970s T.J. Murphy Ltd has also been involved in house building and groundworks.
