About this opportunity

Working with Josh Berry, a recognised tradesman in Plastering. JB Property Services are a small independent Plastering company with work in the Hazel Grove area of Stockport.

An important aspect of the work is Plastering to a high standard in domestic properties. Due to the demand of new work and an importance to Plaster to a high standard, JB Property Services are looking for a new Plastering Apprentice to support in daily tasks. As an Apprentice you will support and assist the experienced tradesmen in completing day to day jobs.

A normal day would include

Meeting with staff on site and being briefed on the jobs that need completing with time being spent of Health and Safety.
Assist staff with a variety of daily tasks in the Plastering of domestic buildings and houses.
Keeping the working areas clean and tidy and safe for work.
Wearing correct PPE at all times and using tools and machinery on safe and effective manner.
Assisting with other areas of the job as required. Due to general maintenance of properties, the Apprentice may also support, at times, other staff in different trade areas.
Technical aspects of Plastering will include; Finishing plasters to backgrounds, Internal solid plastering, dry lining and external rendering.

What you could go on to do
Progress to a Level 3 Apprenticeship in related trade.
Progress to full time employment

How you will be supported
Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company. This will include on site assessments and support from an Assessor.

What you should have to apply

A good level of Maths and English. Grade C GCSE would be desirable. Functional Skills Maths and English can be included in this Apprenticeship.
