About this opportunity

Due to expansion a number of rewarding apprenticeship opportunities have arisen for scaffolding apprenticeships to work from Lyndon Scaffoldings depot in Birmingham.

You will be trained up in all areas of scaffolding and be inducted onto their scaffolding yard scheme. This will be a 26 month apprenticeship that will include block release attendance at a local scaffolding training centre.

Your duties will include: Scaffolders work in the open erecting scaffold to various designs/structures and at variable heights. You will be expected to assist with all labouring tasks associated with scaffolding including cleaning, lubricating, painting, loading and unloading wagons. At all times safety is paramount and all safe working procedures must be observed.
Once you have your trainee scaffolder you will then allowed on site and be trained in all areas of scaffolding such as: birdcage, cantilevered, independent, tower, pavement and roof scaffolds.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys physical work and being outdoors.

Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company.

What you should have to apply

If you don’t have grade C GCSE in maths and English you will do functional skills whilst attending the training centre.

Contribution to team effort as well as individual tasks.
Positive attitude and happy to work outdoors in physically demanding job.
