An interesting role as an assembly/production worker is available at Future Safety Ltd. This varied role will ensure stock, quality control and production levels are maintained and orders fulfilled in a timely manner.
A normal day would include:
Stock
• Regular checking of component stock levels and re-ordering on completing the purchase orders requisition form as required.
• To update stock tally sheets as and when items are picked.
• Picking lists are completed with the correct goods inward reference numbers (gi)
• Use stock adjustment in/out sheet to record anomalies for over/sort deliveries and samples
• Any production errors need to be recorded on the tally sheet and stock out sheets to be filled in accordingly
• Sub assembly component products are recorded correctly on sub-assembly sheets
Production of products
• Check that the correct components have been picked
• Ensure Batch ID number is filled in correctly on the picking list
• Conduct Quality control checks on all components prior to assembly
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies into finished products by
• Positioning or aligning components and parts manually
• Use had tools or machines to assemble parts
• Conduct Quality checks at each stage of production to check each stage meets the quality control standards
• Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools
• Verifying specifications by measuring and quality checking completed component
• Resolve assembly problems by alerting non-conformance/ component/s obtain additional resources
Despatch
• To ensure that all goods ready for despatch are quality checked and match the original Picking List in line with the ISO 9001
• To pack and weigh outgoing orders, updating the Picking List with the dimensions and returning the paperwork to the office
• To ensure all orders are placed in the Goods Outward area with the customer name and contents clearly labelled
General
• To ensure that the warehouse/production areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and rubbish is removed each day
• This includes ensuring that all work benches are clean and tidy and that the floor is swept and rubbish free at the end of each working day
