About this opportunity

CSG is a leading UK waste management company. They are looking to recruit an apprentice Mechanical Engineer to train on the job to assist with site breakdowns & planned maintenance.

As an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer you will be working on all aspects of site maintenance, this will include:

• Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance, such as replacing faulty parts, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
• Inspections: Regularly inspect machines, systems, and equipment to identify potential issues
• Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot any issues, Identifying and repair faulty equipment
• Safety: Check the functionality of safety systems
• Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place
• Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out

What you should have to apply

• Grade 4/C and above in Maths and English is essential
• A qualification in Engineering such as a Level 2 PEO or BTEC Level 3 is desirable
