An interesting and detailed role, ensuring product quality is consistent with intended use. Successful applicants would be working with a small team of technicians, testing concrete, aggregates and soils to ensure suitability to industry standards.
A normal day would include:
• Undertaking preparation of samples for testing
• Testing soils, aggregates, concrete & asphalt for strength & density
• Filling out all test documentation correctly via electronic tablet
• Checking equipment calibration status
• Adhering to quality, health & safety & environmental procedures
• Lifting of sample bags weighing between 20 – 25kg
• Assembly of various materials to carry out the testing activities
• Chance to progress to a permanent full-time position
