About this opportunity

Cheshire View Home Improvements have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic apprentice to work alongside their experience installers and learn the art on fenestration installation.

A normal day would include:

• You will be paired up with an experienced installer and given full training on how to fit a variety of windows, PVCu doors, composite doors, bi-folds, french doors and conservatories
• You will ensure that the new windows fit the space available, enlarging or reducing the space if necessary
• If existing windows must be removed, you will use hand and power tools to remove the windows
• Training will be given on correct installation methods which is in-line with building regulations, as well as Health and Safety regulations. You will also undertake your fenestration installation apprenticeship standard for the duration of your apprenticeship
• You will be using a variety of different tools, including hand and power tools
• The work can involve working at heights, using ladders and scaffolding, and some heavy lifting so please bare this in mind when applying for the position
• You will be working indoors and outdoors and can involve some work in various weather conditions
• It is rare but there may be some working away from home which the company will explain further at interview
• Fenestration work is completed in weathers and conditions; we ask applicants to be aware of seasonal variation in work
