Start your career at Metrolink, the largest light rail network in the UK! In this role you will work as part of a team to plan and deliver the operational maintenance plan to allow for the effective scheduling and execution of tram maintenance.
Key Accountabilities:
• Learn to design, produce and maintain the fleet maintenance programme and exam plan
• Learn to develop the exam plan and ensure allocations to deliver the plan are understood and communicated
• Focus on future maintenance work: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually to develop and continually refine the maintenance plan and provide reports.
• Learn to manage vehicle mileage to ensure a smooth maintenance process
• Learn to manage a database to track and maintain all periodicities from maintenance exams to cleaning.
• Learn to assess operational situations and dispatch requirements in order to provide input to the maintenance plan
• Learn to identify and prioritise tasks in accordance with contractual, performance, technical and safety requirements
• Learn to create and identify maintenance windows and adapt maintenance plans when circumstances demand whilst ensuring mileage is not exceeded
• Work in close co-operation with the operations department
• Answer internal/external phone calls for the Vehicles department
