Apprentice CNC Programmer

About this opportunity

Handrail Creations Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a talented person with a passion for Engineering to join a leading manufacturer as a CNC Programmer!

You will help to produce bespoke handrails and other items for some of the most prestigious construction projects in the UK. The role will be 100% PC based, programming with their CAM software, understanding various manufacturing methods, tooling etc and as such have a proven excellent computer skill.

Day to day activities
• Creating programs for our 5 axis CNC milling machines
• Understanding customer drawings and 3D models
• Working to tolerances and understanding the capabilities of our machines
• Understanding, measuring and drawing a wide range of tooling
• Simulating machine movements and working under pressure
• Management and timekeeping of own work
• Collaborating with design team and production team to keep up with production schedule
