The majority of the role will be to produce 2D/3D fabrication parts using Sigma Nest and Solidworks to produce CNC Cutting / bending programs. This will be done under supervision of senior members of staff.
Additionally there will be administrative duties to be carried out within the CAD department. As the individual gains more experience and confidence within the company, other duties will be introduced and made available to them.
We provide extensive internal training in both 2D and 3D drawing as well training in how to produce cutting / bending programs for all our machines.
The candidate will also receive training on shop floor working across all machines and processes to increase their understanding of both the profiling and fabrication side of the business.
A normal day would include:
• Creating 2D flat profile drawings using sigma nest
• Creating 3D parts and assemblies
• Produce nests for profiling machines (Full training supplied)
• Producing CNC bending programs
• Administrative duties
Full and extensive training is provided for all aspects of the job, however prior experience would be an advantage.
A training plan will be put into practise and updated annually until the end of the applicant’s apprenticeship; by the end the applicant will be proficient in all areas of work. Half annual reviews will be done to make sure the applicant is on target and Annual reviews put into practise to review ability and salary.
Further training can be discussed after apprenticeship has been completed.
