The Works
The Works delivers a Construction Academy SWAP in partnership with Job Centre Plus (JCP).
The aim of the SWAP is to provide a seamless process to individuals who require the Health & Safety and CSCS card to kickstart their career in Construction.
We provide wrap around support where possible to assist our learners in overcoming barriers. Where we can’t, we signpost to services that can support them. By accessing other services we can add additional training for learners to gain extra tickets to add value to their profile.

Our event is a unique opportunity for you to engage with candidates who are site ready and looking for work. You will have to opportunity to showcase your organisation and vacancies.

Our courses are fully funded if you are:
- aged 19 plus and unemployed
- aged 19 plus and employed earning less than £18,525 per year
Fully funded means that there is no cost to you - you do not have to pay anything for your course.
SWAP = Sector-Based Work Academy Programme
SWAPs offer the opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience working in a particular industry.
