Supporting your mental health during lockdown

You might be worried about how the recent developments in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic might impact your mental health and wellbeing. Whether you’re worried about you or your family catching the disease, struggling with loneliness or simply missing your usual routine, it’s completely normal to feel worried or anxious during this uncertain time.

To help you cope and stay mentally well, we’ve put together some helpful resources that can provide you with the support you need:

Your Growth Company contact

Our team is here to support you through your apprenticeship or course, but did you know your GC contact can also provide you with additional help? They can sign-post you to a wide range of services which can support your health and wellbeing, and provide additional guidance on anything that might be troubling you.

Young Minds

Young Minds have developed a blog for young people which provides tips on how to maintain your mental health and wellbeing. Advice includes what to do if you are anxious about Coronavirus, what to do if you are self-isolating and a range of helplines and services you can contact.

NHS England

There are a wide range of services signposted from NHS England which include how to access mental health services, dealing with a mental health crisis and child and adolescent mental health services

Samaritans

The Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As the virus is affecting the way in which you live your life, they have gathered some resources to help with your mental wellbeing.
