Congratulations to Jackson Jackson and Sons who were 'highly commended' in the National Apprenticeship Awards for regional employer of the year.
The fifteenth National Apprenticeship Awards celebrated the diverse range of industries engaged with apprenticeships – from both apprentices and employers who go above and beyond to champion apprenticeships.
Jackson Jackson and Sons is a chartered building company with 30 years experience. They undertake building refurbishment, design and construction work and fire prevention works across the North West and Yorkshire. They pride themselves on investing heavily in training and people development.
Jackson and Jackson have 5 apprentices with us who are all on joinery apprenticeships. Matthew Woodworth and Denis Slack are both on level 2 joinery, Liam Marshall has progressed from level 2 to level 3, Kamuran Aktas is on his level 3 and Reece Handley has recently achieved his level 3 apprenticeship.
Bev Sexton at Jackson Jackson was delighted that the company was named runner-up in the category ‘Employer of the Year’. She said, “We’re all very proud of our apprentices and they are very much part of our success. Three of our apprentices went to the awards ceremony - they all had a great time.”
