We are continuing to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, today’s theme is #EmployerTuesday, so we have been discussing the benefits of recruiting apprentices into your business.
Recruiting an apprentice is a productive and effective way to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce. We have spoken to Lucy Pollitt, Curriculum Director at the Growth Company Education and Skills; Lucy has two Junior Content Producer Apprentices working in her E-Learning Team.
We asked Lucy if she would recommend recruiting an apprentice, she said: “Absolutely, Hannah and Elisha have brought energy and new ideas to the team and added a fresh perspective to our work. They have been working with delivery teams across the organisation to develop e-learning resources, which has had a positive impact on both our colleagues and the learners that we support.
“Their off-the-job training sessions have given them new tools and techniques to use within their roles and has improved the quality of resources that the team have developed.
It has been great to provide them with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that they need to demonstrate during their apprenticeship programme.”
Apprenticeships aren’t just about recruiting new people into your business - you can upskill existing staff from entry-level to senior management. You will be able to strengthen the core of your business and develop the talent of your current workforce, aid staff morale and retention whilst increasing the productivity of your teams.
