Skills Bootcamp in Hospitality Management
Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to a guaranteed interview with a local employer.
This training has been made possible and is free to individuals thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding for Skills Bootcamps, forming part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and funded through the Department of Education’s National Skills Fund.
We have the following start dates available for this Skills Bootcamp:
- Monday 19 June 2023 - attendance is required 2 days per week (Mondays & Tuesdays)
- Wednesday 2 August 2023 - attendance is required 2 days per week (Wednesdays & Thursdays)
- Monday 2 October 2023 - attendance is required 2 days per week (Mondays & Tuesdays)
- Monday 27 November 2023 - attendance is required 2 days per week (Mondays & Tuesdays)
- Wednesday 29 November 2023 - attendance is required 2 days per week (Wednesdays & Thursdays)

To successfully complete this Skills Bootcamp, learners must complete 3 mandatory units and 2 optional units.
Mandatory units:
- Unit 1 – Principles of Leading a Team in the Hospitality Industry
- Unit 2 – Supervision of Operations in the Hospitality Industry
- Unit 3 – Principles of Supervising Customer Service and Performance in Hospitality and the Leisure Industry
Optional units include:
- People Management
- Conflict Management
- Risk Management
- Wellbeing
- Mental Health
- Well Workforce
- Customer Service
There are no formal entry requirements for this course however, you must be eligible for funding to apply, please see the section below - Fully Funded Entry Criteria.
Our Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for anyone aged 19+ who is:
- Employed either full-time or part-time
- Unemployed
- Self-employed
- A serving prisoner due to be released within 6 months of completion of a Skills Bootcamp and those on temporary release
