This is a government funded programme which has been designed to support your development and skills when working in a finance or accountancy role, a natural progression from Level 3.
The course extends your knowledge of producing management and financial information and how your company uses this information to make decisions and plan for the future.
This course will help you to understand the breadth of the company, the environment in which it operates, and how financial information is processed and produced. You will also gain a deeper understanding of regulatory financial requirements, whilst enhancing your communication, and IT skills.

The course covers a range of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in the workplace and is supported by elements of an AAT qualification covering Financial Statements, Management Accounting Budgeting and Decision and Control.
You will complete a final synoptic exam covering financial management skills and applications, drafting financial statements for limited companies; recommending accounting system strategy and presenting complex information. A portfolio of evidence and take part in an independent professional discussion or produce a written reflective statement.
This is mainly a work based qualification with attendance required half a day per week.
On successful completion you will achieve a Level 4 Professional Accounting/Tax Technician Apprenticeship Certificate.
There is also the option to achieve a full AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4 Certificate.
You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Accounting.
Ideally, you will hold a GCSE grade 4 or above in maths and English or equivalent.
You must be employed in either a finance or accountancy role.
