Level 3 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance
This qualification is appropriate for learners who have responsibility for information, advice or guidance as part of their core work and for those who may be involved in general signposting within the sector.
It is also appropriate qualifications for those who may be giving advice in the Voluntary Sector, health workers and anyone in the advice giving sector who would benefit from a programme of study which reinforces good practice, provides underpinning knowledge and give formal recognition for learning and skills developed through experience.
Within Further Education, this qualification may be offered to staff who are involved in supporting young people with careers and personal choices such as teachers, lecturers, classroom / teaching support staff and learning mentors.
The course is FREE for those who are:
An employed or unemployed Greater Manchester resident who is aged 19+ and ideally has some experience in providing IAG
OR
An employed or unemployed South Yorkshire resident who is aged 24+ living in the following postcode areas: Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster or Barnsley with ideally some experience in providing IAG

To complete the NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance qualification you must complete the following units:
- Applying Interaction Skills for Information, Advice or Guidance
- Information, Advice or Guidance - Principles and Practice
- Information, Advice or Guidance Work with Groups
- Advice or Guidance Centre devised Information
- Managing, Accessing and Creating Information Resources in Information, Advice or
Guidance - Referral in Information, Advice or Guidance Practice
This course is delivered online.
Upon successful completion, you will achieve an NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance.
