The Level 2 in Retail Knowledge will suit you if you work, or would like to work, in retail and you want to increase your skills, perhaps to prepare for another qualification or a role where you have more responsibility.

Your Study Programme will be tailored to meet your needs and will include one of the above qualifications, plus a combination of additional qualifications such as Essential Digital Skills, Health & Safety, and Maths and English (if needed). You will also have the opportunity to complete a work placement or work experience while studying with us.

When does the course start?

August and September 2024.

Don't worry if you are not ready to start with us in August or September, if we have space you can join this course throughout the year.

What does the course cover?

You need to achieve credits from a range of units. Your Tutor will go through this with you.

Units include:

  • Understanding customer service in the retail sector
  • Understanding the retail selling process
  • Understanding how individuals and teams contribute to the effectiveness of a retail business
  • Understanding how a retail business maintains health and safety on its premises

If you do not hold the relevant English and maths qualifications, you will work towards them as part of this programme.

 

When will I attend?

Your attendance will depend on your timetable. We will go through this information with you in detail when you enrol.

Will I receive a bursary?

Yes, you will receive a bursary of up to £10.50* per day.

*Subject to adhering to the attendance and behaviour polices.

What will I achieve?

On successful completion you will achieve a Level 2 Certificate in Retail Knowledge.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements however, you will need to attend an informal interview.

How much does the course cost?

The course is FREE for anyone aged 16-18 or 19-24 with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
