Level 2 Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations
This level 2 course enables individuals to demonstrate competence in their job roles and to develop the essential work-based skills required to work effectively in the manufacturing industry.
This course can be started immediately, at a time that is best suited to you.
To achieve the Level 2 Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Engineering (QCF), learners must complete two mandatory units and four optional units.
Mandatory units:
- Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
- Contributing to effective team working
Optional unit examples: job-specific
- Preparing and concluding manufacturing operations
- Recording and reporting inspection and test results and producing products
- Transferring materials
- Ensuring effective handover of manufacturing
To successfully achieve a unit the learner must gather evidence that shows that they have met the required standard in the assessment criteria.
Assessment
Evidence can take a variety of different forms including the following examples:
- Direct observation of the learner’s performance by their Skills Development Coach
- Outcomes from oral or written questioning
- Product evidence of the learner’s work
- Professional discussion
On successful completion, learners will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations.
Learners must be employed in a role relevant to the quaification.
This course is suitable for anyone aged 16 and over.
All training takes place on the employer’s premises with regular visits from a designated Skills Development Coach.
