This Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying will provide you with a range of bricklaying skills and knowledge. You will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry, and the industry itself.

This course is FREE to individuals who:

  • Are employed or unemployed
  • Are a Greater Manchester Resident
  • Aged 19+
  • Earns less than £25,000

When does the course start?

We have regular start dates throughout the year. For specific dates, please email kyle.bygrave@gceducationandskills.ac.uk.

What does the course cover?

To successfully complete the NOCN Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying, learners must complete the mandatory units listed below, along with a selection of optional units.

Mandatory Units

  • Construction Health and Safety
  • The Construction Industry
  • Setting Out Masonry Structures  
  • Construct Solid Walls
  • Construct Cavity Walls
Attendance

Attendance is required on the following days:

  • Monday: 8am - 3pm
  • Tuesday: 8am - 3pm

The course is delivered in person at the Greater Manchester SkillCentre in Trafford Park.

 

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry grade requirements however, you will be required to successfully complete an initial assessment and interview.

Qualification

On successful completion, learners will achieve an NOCN Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying (Construction).
