The Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) qualification is designed to improve your business performance. BIT provides a range of new tools to identify where and how improvements can be made. It will get employees involved in business efficiency, and increase their skills and knowledge, at the same time as reducing costs and waste.
Employees work together and contribute to three measurable and sustainable improvement projects. The projects are measured using the former DTI seven measures of competitiveness and are mapped against Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD). The benefits of achieving process and quality improvements in the workplace are open to private and public companies across all sectors, including areas such as commerce and healthcare alongside traditional industry employers.

To successfully complete this course you must complete the mandatory units and selected optional units.

Assessment
To successfully achieve a unit learners must gather a portfolio of evidence that shows that they have met the required standard in the assessment criteria.
Evidence can take a variety of different forms including the following examples:
On successful completion, learners will achieve a Level 2 Certificate and Diploma in Business Improvement Techniques.
Learners must be employed in a role relevant to the quaification.
This course is suitable for anyone aged 16 and over.
All training takes place on the employer’s premises with regular visits from a designated Skills Development Coach.
