Hairdressing and Barbering Study Programme
Do you have a creative flair and a keen interest in working in the hairdressing industry? This course is for individuals who would like to gain a qualification in hairdressing. We have professional staff with solid industry experience on-hand and a personal tutor to support you throughout your qualification.
Your Study Programme will be tailored to meet your needs and will include a Hairdressing and Barbering qualification plus a combination of qualifications which can include Essential Digital Skills, Employability Skills, Health and Safety and Maths and English (if needed). You will also be given the opportunity to complete a work placement/work experience whilst studying with us.
This course is available at the following Training Centres:
- Tameside - up to Level 2
- Longsight - Level 1 only

You will learn different aspects of the hairdressing trade such as:
- Blow drying
- Shampoo and conditioning
- Plaiting and twisting hair
- Assisting with colouring
- Customer care and reception
There are no formal grade requirements.
Yes, you will receive an allowance of up to £50 per week.
On successful completion, you will achieve either an NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Hairdressing and Barbering.
The course is FREE for anyone aged 16-18.
