Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship standard will develop the skills and knowledge of individuals that work with ICT and enable them to deliver efficient operation and control of the IT and/or Telecommunication Infrastructure.

What does the course cover?

There are 3 pathways to follow, these are:

Support Technician apprentice - Helpdesk
Network Technician apprentice – Networking
Digital Communications Technician apprentice - Telecoms

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Qualification as an Information Communication Technician.

What are the entry requirements?

GCSE grade A*-C/9-4 in maths and English or equivalent is desirable.

Functional Skills is no longer a mandated requirement for apprentices aged 19 or above. However, some programmes may have minimum entry level requirements for English and maths due to the nature of the programme.

Where will I study?

The delivery of this apprenticeship is based on a blended model of fortnightly group training sessions, one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required.
