Level 2 Award in Computer Programming (Learn to Code)

This qualification is for anyone who wants to develop and extend their digital skills to prepare for employment in different roles within the digital and creative industries.

This course is FREE to individuals who:

  • Are employed or unemployed
  • Are a Greater Manchester Resident
  • Aged 19+
  • Earns less than £25,000

WHAT DOES THE COURSE COVER?

With a focus on computer programming, you will learn about the principles of computer programming to understand how programming works.

On this course you will also develop text-based programming skills to design and develop your own computer programs.

This course is delivered in the Python programming language and is designed to introduce learners to the world of computer programming.

On this 13-week course, you will:  

  • Understand the principles of programming 
  • Be able to design a program in response to a client brief 
  • Be able to develop a program using a text-based programming language 
  • Be able to test, refine, document and review the program
WHEN WILL I ATTEND?

This is a part-time course which is delivered on a Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 - 7:30pm, online.

You will be required to attend virtually for 4 hours per week for 13 weeks.

Our next cohort will begin on 1st July 2024!

 

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

To apply for this course, you must have a GCSE Grade 4/A* or above in maths and English.

What will I achieve?

On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 2 Award in Computer Programming.
