A Fenestration Installer will be responsible for completing their own work, with minimal supervision, ensuring they meet installation quality standards and deadlines. They may work as part of a team, with responsibility for a specific aspect of the installation, contributing to the completion of the project.

Typical job roles include:

  • Installer of Glass Supporting Systems
  • Installer of Replacement Windows and Doors
  • Window and Door Installer
  • Conservatory Installer

What does the course cover?

This apprenticeship standard covers a wide range of knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to be a Fenestration Installer - find out more here.

You will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Health and safety
  • Environmental factors
  • Relating to the industry
  • Building regulation
  • Quality assurance
  • The removal and installation of products including, windows, doors, Bi-fold doors, conservatories and curtain wall systems

 

What will I achieve?

On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 2 Fenestration Installer Apprenticeship Standard.

What are the entry requirements?

A minimum of a GCSE grade 2 or a Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English 

Where will I study?

This is a work-based learning qualification, all learning will take place whilst on the job.
