This nationally recognised qualification provides learners with an understanding of how to support individuals at the end of their life. It covers the key principles of care, communication, and dignity when working with individuals and their families during this sensitive time.

This course is FREE for individuals who are:

  • Employed
  • A resident of Greater Manchester
  • Aged 19 or over at the start of the course
  • Earning less than £25,750 per year

What does the course cover?

On this course, you will explore essential topics related to End of Life Care.

The curriculum covers the following key areas:

  • Understanding of end of life care principles
  • Awareness of emotional, physical, and spiritual needs
  • Communication skills to support individuals and families
  • Knowledge of person-centred care and dignity
What will I achieve?

On successful completion, learners will achieve a Highfield Level 2 Certificate in End of Life Care.

Attendance

Delivery:

  • 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • 3 sessions (1 per week)
  • Online tutorials (must have access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone)

 

What are the entry requirements?
  • Must live in GM
  • Can provide proof of right to live and work in the UK
  • Must be employed, earning less than £25,750
  • Can commit to duration of course
  • Not on any other ASF funded course
