Wind Turbine Installation

The course is available for pre-registration.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to install and commission wind turbines.
Duration
3 Days
Location
Greater Manchester SkillCentre, Trafford Park

Turbines can generate significant amounts of energy from the wind, however, to be able to maximise the energy created, installers also need to be able to understand battery technology as this is where the energy is stored until needed.

Candidates will gain hands-on experience and will work with small-scale wind turbines that are designed for domestic and some commercial uses. The aim is to gain an understanding of how to install and commission wind turbines. This qualification will act as an additional bolt-on qualification that supports the existing skills of individuals who desire to retrain and up-skill in this area.

This course is aimed at construction workers with building experience who want to gain the skills required to install free-standing turbines. The course is also suitable for electricians as applicants are required to have the qualifications needed to commission the electrical aspect of the turbines.
