What does the course cover?

To achieve this level 2 qualification, you must complete a range of mandatory and optional units - your Skills Development Coach will go through these with you in detail to select the optional units best suited to you and your job role. 

 

Mandatory units:

Maintain Health and Safety within the Glazing Working Environment 

  • Communicating and Working with Others in the Glass and Related Working
    Environments
  • Confirm the Glazing Requirements 
  • Locate, Handle and Transport Glazing Materials and Equipment 
  • Prepare for Glazing work 
  • Install glass into Glazing System

Optional units:

  • Carry out Temporary Work to make safe the Glazing Installation 
  • Maintain Glazing Systems
  • Cut Glass for Glazing

 

What will I achieve?

On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Glazing.

What are the entry requirements?

You must be working or volunteering in a job role relevant to the qualification.

Where will I study?

This is a work-based learning qualification, all learning will take place whilst on the job.
