This Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is for learners wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Green Card (CSCS Card).

What does the course cover?

The qualification covers the health and safety knowledge that is required to gain a CSCS Green Card for access to construction sites in the UK.

You will complete 1 unit:

  • Health and safety in a construction environment

What will I achieve?

On successful completion you will achieve a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.

Your Tutor will provide you with information on how to book your CSCS card test.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements however, you will need to attend an informal interview.

How much does the course cost?

If you are aged 16-18 the course is FREE.

If you are aged 19+ the course if FREE if you are on out-of-work benefits. Please contact the Centre for further information.
