The course extends your knowledge in the support and implementation of digital operations and transformational projects.
There are two pathways within the Digital Support Technician standard – Digital Application Technician (software - option 1) and Digital Service Technician (hardware - option 2).
Some roles this standard covers are:
Digital Applications Technicians (software - option 1) are Data Administrator, Database Administrator, Digital Coach, Digital Transformation Associate, ICT Support Analyst, and Digital Champion.
Digital Service Technicians (hardware - option 2) are Digital Service Advisor, Digital Service Agent, Service Centre Operator, Operations Technical Specialist and Digital Support Professional.

The course covers a range of knowledge, skills, and behaviours that can be applied in the workplace and is demonstrated by a portfolio.
On this course you will:
As part of your end-point assessment, you will submit a portfolio of evidence, have synoptic exams covering security and legislation, digital applications knowledge, or digital service knowledge.
There will also be a Case Study Presentation and take part in an independent Interview.
This is mainly a work based qualification with attendance required half a day per week.
On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship.
Ideally, you will hold a GCSE grade 4 or above in maths and English or equivalent.
You must be employed in a relevant job role.
